Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes

Community Care CKL works to simplify the uncertainty of transportation for both caregivers and those in their care by providing local and out-of-region ride services, engaging both volunteer and staff drivers.



Through the support of the Petro-Canada CareMakers Foundation, Community Care CKL will be able to replace one of their current specialized vehicles and purchase a new vehicle that will be modified to carry wheelchairs and stretchers, allowing them to continue their transportation services without slowing down. Additionally, they will be able to offer a funding pool that give caregivers a resource to reduce any financial burdens they face and allow them the ability to access support.
